Nir Ronen is an experienced executive in the field of ultra low latency and automated trading. Nir is the Managing Member of qSpark Capital Management, a fund management company. The company leverages sophisticated trading infrastructure for the execution of its algorithms and for the support of its traders.
Nir has over twenty years of management experience in the Finance and Technology sectors. Through his career in both Finance and Technology, Nir was able to see the connections between the two sectors, and thus sought to capture the unique elements of both divisions. This drew him to the world of automated trading.
Since beginning his journey within the trading industry, Nir has grown to become an expert in the field. Nir now has over fifteen years of experience leading automated trading companies. His expertise has also enabled him to explore new advancements within the trading world, including machine learning and artificial intelligence practices. With technology constantly evolving, Nir not only needs to be up to speed on the trading industry’s best practices, but must also search for cutting-edge opportunities to further his company’s success. Nir sees this as an exciting challenge.
Nir has an MBA in International Business from the European University in Brussels and a B.A. in Computer Science from the Open University In Israel, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude while serving in an intelligence unit of the Israeli Army.
Independent of his professional pursuits, Nir’s recreational activities include swimming, stand up paddleboarding (SUP), chess and travel. As an avid traveler, Nir has been able to see the world and learn about different cultures. He and his wife have two children, who often accompany him during his world travels. Nir believes that involving his family in his travels will also help to shape their perspective of the world. Nir Ronen lives with his family in St. Thomas, USVI.
